About the Russ Kisby Memorial Fitwalk
On July 20th, 2007 we lost a friend, husband, father and grandfather, Russ Kisby.
In memory of his life's work and passion we commemorate the anniversary of his death with a fitwalk.
Russ had a simple message, BE ACTIVE; it will improve your body, mind, life and spirit!
Russ led by example in his work and in his life. He spent 23 years as president of ParticipACTION urging Canadians to get active and inspiring similar programs in countries around the world. He jogged for years, went to a fitness club almost daily and then it was brisk walking in his senior years. He did a half hour weights and calisthenics regime every day. Even when he was recovering from cancer treatments and surgery he did as many daily "laps" of the upstairs of the house as he could manage.
We would love to see and hear about your fitwalk this year. Please feel free to post pictures in the photo gallery of this site of your personal Russ Kisby Fitwalk.
Thank you and best wishes.
